If you would like your dog to join Tails That Wag for their walks you can contact us here to contact us and we will then arrange a meet and greet so we can meet you and your furry friend.
At the meet greet your dog will get all the love of course! We will also discuss their needs and requirements and which walk you would like to sign up for and how many days required.
There will be a few forms to fill out to ensure we have all the information needed for your dog, you can take these home to fill out. There are terms and conditions for you to read as well as our policies, for example our hot weather policy which is really important for the safety of your dog. These are also available below if you would like to take a look beforehand.

Hot Weather Policy

For the safety of all dogs in the summer I will be following a hot weather policy which will ensure dogs are not walked in unsuitable weather.

For this reason there will be some alterations to the walking schedule as needed.

During the warmer weather when heat is high I will aim to start walks as early as possible with the goal to finish all walks before the warmest

part of the day between 12-1pm. For this reason the walks provided will be shorter than usual to ensure I am able to fit all dogs walks in before this time. However dogs with higher susceptibility to heat stroke, such as brachycephalic breeds may have their walks cancelled and a drop in visit will be provided at some point throughout the day.

For temperatures of 21-23
C we will walk in shaded areas and reduce play for high energy dogs which may mean walking on lead to reduce activity level, as well as reducing length of walks throughout the day. As always there will be a constant supply of access to fresh water.

For temperatures exceeding 23
C walks will be cancelled and instead will receive a home visit to any dogs whose owners arent home during the day. This will include letting them out for the toilet, or just a quick lead walk if no garden is available and stay to keep them company for 20 minutes for cuddles and play.

Where walks are shortened/substituted for a visit the price of the original walk will still apply.

Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payments should be paid ahead of walks, either monthly (21st of the month) or weekly and will be invoiced according to your preference by email. Other arrangements can be made due to differing pay dates (don’t worry I understand!) but will be no less than a week in advance.

This is to be paid by bank transfer or cash if preferred.

Cancellation can be made up to 24 hours prior to a walk taking place with no charge. This can either be refunded or be used as a credit towards another walk. If this exceeds three consecutive walks a refund will not be issued and will be credited to be used for future walks.

Any walks cancelled within this timeframe (24 hours) will still be charged with the exception of unforeseen circumstances (I understand things can happen!), but this will be limited to three times within a year. After that the walks will be charged as usual.

For termination of contract a months notice is preferable but we will require a weeks notice minimum. If payment has already been made there will not be a refund, but I will carry out required walks as paid for unless otherwise requested.
